I think it's a very good purchase. This is a good vacuum for a small apartment. Works great on carpet. Doesn 't work well on linoleum (blows dirt around the place to pick it up). It 's going to be ideal for a house 2,000 square feet, because it heats quickly. If you are looking for a vacuum cleaner for a cheap apartment carpet, I 'd recommend this one.

We love this column up! Not heavy, very long-term filter, easy to download canister, really sucks the dirt and dog hair up! Are the property of 3yrs and only 1 belt replacement is also easy to do! We have 2 dogs shed, you 'll love your maximum too!

My vacuum died after age 15 years and I needed a replacement quickly, so I bought this machine in a big box store instead of Amazon. Paid about the same. Obviously, given the very cheap price, I don 't expect to get 15 years of service outside of the vacuum, but thought I should get at least a year. Nope! I used three times in my modestly sized living space that contains nothing difficult ground-wise - just three normal carpets and bare soil. Two minutes in vacuum 's third use the engine seized. Burning smell followed. I disassembled the whole machine, looking for shoes or anything else that may have been absorbed to cause such a problem. Zippo. Nothing. Called Eureka which told me I could take my $ 58 machine to a repair shop for a covered warranty repair, but the store was a cycle of 30 million taxi go away. Instead, I planted my two weeks old in the dumpster and bought Eureka Amazon 's $ 78 Bissell instead. So far, so good with that one, (although I don 't have enough time for two more weeks)!

This is my second Eureka 4700D Vacuum. The first, only 2 years old was not repaired. The design is flawed on the beater bar. You can 't clean the hair and thread from the surface. The bar ended the melting of the plastic holder in the vicinity of the belt. These are light and medium duty sucks good enough for the overall project budget. My wife likes it better than our other more vacuum, because its light and small. R rthe filter system is easy to clean and the paper filters work well and last a long time. I noticed the hose that is stretched on top of the handle and start to lower wraps. It still works perfectly - just hang on the handle. Still a good value.

wow this vacuum rules! i 've had it for about 2 hours (if my mom bought for me instead of lending me her much nicer one) and i ' ve only used it to vacuum about 6 or 7 feet of the entrance of my apartment cuz i was too tired to do the rest. but that sucker worked good! good suction! all the little nick nack brushes and extra tube paddywacks. in summary: if you 're young, single, in an apartment, ona budget, just out on your own, or all of thee above, you need a vacuum and this super inexpensive one is probably just the thing ferya.

All that others say about how this vacuum cleaner is small, but powerful, attractive, lightweight and comfortable it is true. The price is fantastic. With a flat, two bedrooms, I seemed to trade in my clunky full-size vacuum for this model attractive. Unfortunately, after only 6 months of use has developed overheating problems. Now I have to let it rest between rooms because it is so easy to overheat. Sin! But I think you get what you pay for.

I have this vacuum for about 2 years of ownership. It has good and bad. R rthe good is that I really like that it is bagless, and so I wasting 'm no money to buy bags all the time. The filter, while expensive (about $) can replace 19 at Lowe's to be washed under running water. The vacuum cleaner is light and handy, however, the filter needs to be cleaned quite often. The mechanism for the dust cup and filters are somewhat awkward at first - the filter is kept falling off the place! but now we have gotten used here. Some awkwardness in the way the hose and electrical cord is wound on the body. All in all it was a good value and light and easy to vacuum.

This is a very good product. I liked the price and delivery was free. The features are very good. The vacuum is easy to empty lightwieght. I like the fact that all accessaries are easily accessible and on the device itself, the suction is strong.

No fires or broken belt so far (three weeks in). But the change of belt is sure going a lot easier to do this machine - the access panel is above instead of below. With a small clear window that you can look through the belt - I am yet to decide what benefit is it because the belt may be broken or not. Assembly is very easy. Vac does not have a headlight or automatic carpet height adjustment (with dial must turn). The headlights of the previous vacs are not helped me so I don 't miss that and bending over to turn the dial will certainly not disagree. Because the brush roller can not be turned off I don 't use the vac on my hard floor. The handle for hoisting up this vacuum cleaner is too nice - rounded and comfortable in your hand. this is a great little vacuum. easily put together. does the job and then some! i have 2 cats and it efficiently picks up all the hair. Compact and lightweight with powerful suction. you will not be disappointed in this item.

We bought this vacuum last year. The suction was powerful and the vacuum was very light. The hose kept on dislodging itself, Which was annoying but fixable with a bit of teflon. Band burned through shortly. Last week it started to smell like burning rubber again. Checked the band, everything was fine. Noticed that the little plastic part that held the brush roller was melted. One the other side of the roller (the one held by the belt), the metal pin that is supposed to be in the middle of the rod was off-center, which i figure was the culprit of the struggle to rotate. Will now have to order a roller for $ 21. I 'm sure this company makes its money on parts ..

It's a very good vacuum for the price. We have only two carpets and some small. So for us it works well. Sucking is good (there are 4 positions for the upper and lower mats). You can wash the filters. It is the light. It is easy to clean.

I bought 2 of these empty Christmas past. One for me and one for my daughter as a Christmas gift. My daughter opened on Christmas Eve because it was their turn to host our annual Christmas celebration. It 's not a very big apartment and the room is the only room with a blanket. Received only in Eureka 4700D. One of the main reasons for the order was the automatic height adjustment in photos of the product and product discription. The 4700D I have received no height adjustment car and return to Amazon.

This vac is the most annoying, useless piece of machinery I've ever encountered. We live in a condo of 1,000 square feet, all the carpets, with a King Charles Spaniel, so any vac admittedly makes some extra hours with the hair of the dog. This vac can * almost * Manage the clean 2 / 3 of the place before burning through your belt. The VAC you need a replacement belt every time you use it? I don 't think so. DO NOT BUY this product if you want to get well! Cheap = cheap in this case.

My husband bought this vacuum for me for Christmas because light is easy to use. At first I thought it was a great machine because it would throw dust & hair / fur of pets around and I think it just shows how bad my past machines. It's also amazing to see how much dirt was lifted after only been using my old machine. That was the 1st time. R rthe 2nd time I realized that it was a bad design, and perhaps this machine all other Eurekas cause hair / fur pet / dust to go flying around. IS THE FAN OF THIS MACHINE ON FRONT NEAR BLOWING DOWN ON THE FLOOR IS VERY SPOT FOR YOU ON THE VACUUM! Although these machines do a good job taking the land, it takes me three times the normal time to vacuum than with my old heavy machinery ... not good. I 've never had before and Eureka vacuum will no longer alone Because of this major flaw.

Unhappy with this voice a lot and when I wrote the seller, I found that weren 't willing to back up their products with customer care too. E 'stopped working within 3times of use. I used this machine once and then the brush stopped spinning. Will not buy again and nor should you.

I bought this vaccuum 2 years ago and I never emptied and there is a small amount of powder. Instead of picking up dust and dirt vaccuum this just blows around.
